The 10th annual Bonnaroo Music Festival is scheduled for June 9-12 at the same beautiful farm location in Manchester, Tenn., where it’s called home all these years. Planned events will look largely the same, with workshops, comedy, and other activities to accompany the massive amount of music centered on these grounds during the course of four days.
Festival organizers expect nearly 150 bands to participate in 2011, but the lineup won’t be announced until Tuesday, Feb. 15. Bonnaroo tickets don’t go on sale until Saturday, Feb. 19th at noon EST.

Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival closes out its ninth year, adding one more successful run to the books.
Festivalgoers got to experience four days of non stop music and art in the blistering sun in the farmlands of Manchester, Tennessee. This year’s festival organizers utilized the Internet to bring the experience of Bonnaroo into the homes of music lovers everywhere. Web coverage included streaming live video via the Bonnaroo YouTube channel, NPR audio webcasting and live performance broadcasts on Fuse TV.
Ashley Capps, co-founder of the festival, talks about the decision to use alternative methods of communication, “We are exploring all sorts of opportunities to reach out to fans not simply during the weekend of the festival, but all year long to communicate what the Bonnaroo experience is all about… [while] not compromising the Bonnaroo experience through these opportunities is very important.” (Read More…)

The only thing more complicated than the 2010 Bonnaroo daily performance schedule is probably the blueprints to the NASA space shuttle! There are stages, tents, theatres, lounges, cafes and even a “Silent Disco.” Forget the backpack… you are going to need a compass and a PhD to navigate this maze of amazing music!
But the Bonnaroo powers that be, with bigger brains than most, have managed to pull off this logistical labyrinth, and have now posted the complete schedule – including dates, stages, and show times– on their website. I have trouble just organizing my closet…
Here are some of the highlights, and no, the 2am time slots are not a misprint! This party goes on all night, every night!
Thursday, June 10th:
Blitzen Trapper at 10:15pm: The Other Tent
Wale at Midnight: This Tent
Margaret Cho, 2 sets, 10:30pm & 12:30am: The Comedy Theatre

Nothing says summer like Bonnaroo!
This year’s 9th annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will be June 10-13, 2010. In the past, the festival has offered some amazing artists like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, MGMT, Snoop Dogg and Cage the Elephant. Currently, no artists have been confirmed for the 2010 festival.
The location continues to be the same. It will be held at Great Stage Park, a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn, which is 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
